That sounds like me. I bought a tig machine so I could weld up my Alaskan Sawmill I made & make a muffler for the bigger engine I put on my bandsaw mill. That is also kind of how I got into my machine shop also. One thing always leads to another.Unfortunately I'm a zenner diode short of being able to make two. I made the circuit board last night, not a pretty thing, didn't even have bread board to work on so I used plastic sheet and drilled holes and soldered things together.... Oh well as long as it works.
I did get a pre-sensitised board so I can etch a proper design if this doesn't work as well as it should. Just need to learn how.
Duplicated the schematic into this program I downloaded called KiCad which I am now learning to use... I wanted to learn to TIG in the first place so I could tig together a cyclone separator for my dust collector build in my woodworking workshop... My projects can take so very long because I go "This would be alot nicer if I could do X first".
