I prefer to use a "named" consumable but I accept that I will have to pay more for it.
My 15kg reel of 0.8 Murex MIG wire ran out the other day and I replaced it with ESAB posted from Wellington Welding.
On the subject of Elmdale I bought my Miller Dynasty from them, (s/h) as well as many TIG rods over the years.
I knew "Roger the Rep" (if you'll pardon the expression) over many years and what he did'n't know wasn't worth knowing.
He has since retired and the new bloke, an ex welder, is Muss.
I find that a txt sent to the rep gets a quick knowledgeable response rather than an email to the office, probably only read
by the person in accounts.
