Personally wouldn’t recommend the PTFE tape. It’s a pita for sealing unless you really crank it down which that fitting on the Caddy 2200i isn’t designed for.

Great info, I always wanted to do this on my 2200i to fit a smaller torch like the ck9 but I ended up getting a wp9 size esab torch (still very bulky) and basically forgot about it, next time I do a load of tig I might just get around to it... never been able to find a 1/8 fitting like that anywhere before. thanks for the info!
