Richard. Member Messages 18,043 Location Cambridgeshire May 20, 2018 #2 They will weld aluminium in much the same way a conventional mig will. It’s got an aluminium setting in the Qset to make life easy.

Best mod on the caddy Mig is shorten the gas shroud and turn the heat up a bit. Really tempted to invest in an AC/DC TIG, but would be tempted by a good second hand machine over an import. Local dealer offered me a new Parweld?!

Richard. Member Messages 18,043 Location Cambridgeshire May 21, 2018 #5 Gas has to be 100% argon. Quality is ok but not going to match the appearance or get the penetration depths like you would with a pulse machine.
