Hi Has anyone converted one of these to having a socket and torch set up. My torch has dies and am wondering the best way to replace it. Any help would be appreciated.

The original torches fitted to these are usually pretty decent and pretty long.
I'd think most of the parts would be available to repair/refurb it?
Although, a euro connection would give you more choice of torches and make it easier to swap them over in future.
Depending how much work your torch needs it might be cheaper to do the euro conversion anyway.
A decent quality socket will cost you £35-40 or so. Cheaper ones are available but don't bother with them if you plan to be swapping the torch very often.
I think the 151 already has a gas solonide?
While you are messing about in there you may as well fit a dinse socket for the earth lead. Fit 2 and then you can run gasless wire as well.
The only thing with the 151 is I think the original torch comes out of a curved front panel?
That might make it tricky to mount a euro socket?
Pop up some pictures of the view through the side door.
I think there was a similar machine with the torch outlet lower down so it might be easier if you can move the wire feed motor so it pulls from the bottom of the drum rather than the top. That way you could just mount the euro socket on the flat lower panel.
