Hi Has anyone converted one of these to having a socket and torch set up. My torch has dies and am wondering the best way to replace it. Any help would be appreciated.

One important point to remember is that the new Euro socket, the wirefeed motor, and the whole spool of MIG wire are "live" with the positive of the DC welding voltage ( 15 to 30-ish volts ). Both sides of the welding output, positive and negative, are fully-floating and should not connect to the case, chassis, front panel, or AC mains earth. [ The "Earth" cable and clamp -...Not sure if anyone has an experience with this kit. I've seen a few writeups on the forum about people doing this conversion and the consensus is that it's not too bad.
I did not think so Chris, as not found any mention about reconnecting this thick black wire up anywhere on these Euro Conversion writeups but could be wrong. Hopefully someone can answer the original question about this this black wire that goes back to the rectifier, as well as where the...Does the black wire not connect to the threaded part on your new euro torch conversion, using the selection of nuts and washers to hold it in place? which is under the grey cap, that bit hanging off it looks like it was doing the same on your old torch as the threaded part on the new connector.
