Erbauer grinders

anyone with any experience? Had to resort to buying one as screwfix had no makita grinders in stock. Doesn't seem terribly made from the box, not a fan of the full guard for none flanged discs tho. Soft start is a nice addition tho. Just wondering how long I can expect it to last

I've got a couple of Erbauer battery tools, they seem fine for DIY/hobby use.

It (or any replacements) will last as long as the warranty

useit to grind out the mortar on your house to re point that will test it or the replacements

Have had one for about 10 yrs still going strong not as nice as my dewalt but good enough. Have had only to replace lead but that was my fault

I have one and it’s lasted fine without issue. But it is considerably larger than my Makita and Bosch so not as nice to hold and use. Like you only bought last minute and considering the price of the new Makita ones I wouldn't chose to buy one.

I may return it and wait for a makita 5" to come in then, as I have easy access to free 5" discs

Hi, I have a couple of cheapo grinders, still going ok. The makers only seem to put enough grease in the gearbox to last till the warranty ends, Take the cover off, stick some good grease in,not to much as it wont go round and round anymore!

I've got a jigsaw from them and use their 1mm discs in my grinder and no issues from either really

It's quite handy when under a car, one handed not to have the grinder kick itself out of your hand as you turn it on

That`s a good test as I used (wore out ) 4 Ryobi grinders doing the same. Then I purchased Makita.

I Just picked up a 115mm grinder from B&Q (Guild, however they are?) for £15. It's only 750w, but lighter and shorter than the JCB I bought 10+ years ago that's still going well (Recommended).
I'm a big fan of Worx for mid priced tools as they are well designed, well balanced, ergonomic and last very well indeed, I have an old 12v cordless drill that I prefer over my DeWalt that I can still get replacement batteries for £20 (funnily enough from Erbauer) which I shall continue to do for as long as the motor holds out.

Yep, recently bought the same one. I like the start switch as compared to those with the 'slide'-type switch, which can be difficult to operate with gloves on.

I just bought a MacAllister 13mm sander from B&Q and looking at the Evolution one from Screwfix it looks the same with the same spec, just different colours. MacAllister offering £29 cheaper. Neither great quality I would say.

For sanders, you won't go wrong with an Erbauer. I use the detail sander and the 150mm orbital.
Both are nice and heavy, if they last the 2 year warranty, then I'm happy. They do get some heavy use.

All the cheap grinders I have had last pretty much the same time in months as a Makita lasts in years. Guess they are fine for occasional DIY use, but not a great idea if everyday use is required.
