My trusty Erbauer cordless drill has developed a fault. Pressing the trigger most often results in the battery indicator LEDs showing random health, and the chuck sometimes spins briefly, albeit very slowly then stops, even if the battery health shows good.
Sometimes nothing at all, sometimes (but not very often) it spins up fine.
It happened a couple of months back so I stripped it down, cleaned all the visible crud out and rebuilt it and it worked perfectly but I went to use it again the other day and the fault is back.
It's not the batteries, it happens with both even when they're fully charged and the batteries are perfect in my impact driver.
I'm not really sure where to start looking? Possibly the trigger itself? Can the trigger be pulled apart to be cleaned without the risk of small bits going AWOL?
It's brushless so no chance of it being worn brushes.
It's 3 years old and has done me well so I don't have an issue replacing it if it can't be repaired but obviously a repair would be better.
