Ive got plenty of tools battery powered through what I do so for like for like

14v the dewalt battery drill nicad

HEavish but can torq those screws in lovery and drills locks in doors for fun

18v dewalt lithium batteries lighter torqs In rather well but not my go for drill

18v ryobi lithium batteries older style with magnet on base nice and torqy does a good enough job

18v ryobi lithium batterys new style nice and torqy

All drills are good enough between each other and to be honest the eruber I wouldnt have touched however its on par with all of the above drills
Sounds silly but ive used many a battery drill for my jobs and they do get some constant stick well above diy use
Dewalt is not as good as it was
Ryobi is more diy but advertise at pro range

Heres my review of these tools

IVe used battery drill, circular saw, impact driver, and I got burdekin to get a Reciprocating saw

THat battery drill has had some real hammer ive punneled those screws in deep its performed as good as the expensive battery drills ive had and used on others

BAttery lasts well will take a days hammer of screwing screws into wood no problem

CIrcular saw ample enough for its 2 amp battery I expect that to floor the batterys and it does 7 cuts of 8 x 4 sheets cutting the 8ft pieces 11mm osb

Reciprocating saw does well for its handy usage but also floors batteries

IMpact screwdriver like the battery screwdriver lasts a while before needing a new battery

I have a multi tool that generally takes some abuse and the radio but it’s not really a tool

I need a recip saw and don’t want to spend Makita money as it’s not used as much as the sds or the battery drill. Do you reckon it would stand up to trade use and inevitable abuse?

Kayos ive put it through been used on cutting osb 11mm it trims that easily

IVe started to cut into mid board with long blade its cut into it no problem and trimmed the wood off droped to floor

Havent used it to cut metal yet

HAs cut into tar and felt with a used blade

Durable design for trade use and comfy to hold

BAtteries 3 x 2 amps or 1 x 4 amp I think he said id go for the 3 battery version

Cant rate it against snap on version as there a 4 amp nicad batteries

WIll do beams and skirting boards no problem

REversable blade holder

They sound ideal for me, cheap and do what they day on the tin. Did fancy Milwaukee but the price makes my eyes water.

I’ve got some 2ah batteries but a bare saw and a 4ah battery is less than a bare Makita and one of my Makita batteries is on its last legs

They all seem well put together. Gaz has been using them all since he started here and no complaints. The reciprocating saw is a good sized beast and done plenty of work cutting 22mm thick boards and OSB. Longevity can't comment as they've all been bought this year apart from the impact driver which I brought last year. Impact driver is the brush less one, done plenty of work driving in long screws into timber and concrete and has performed really well.

Had to tip cut with 200mm long blade between wall and wood frame

Its on a quick release push down towards saw and releases blade take out spin round and it clips in let go can do it while blade is hot

Had a cheap 18V hammer drill myself once & it kept killing batteries (lithium ones). Cheap tools have their place in the market, But something like a drill I like reliability as it's a regular use power tool

Exactly my thoughts! I have milwaukee 28v gear that i bought in 2006 and still works as good as the day i bought them, couple of batteries died and replaced them with the modern m28 5Ah versions and they are really, really good tools! I also use milwaukee bruahless m18 tools daily at my garage and they do get abused really, really hard! I kill ed a 9Ah battery by leaving the impact wrech in rain outside but bought another 3 9Ah batteries after that so i dont get caught short! I really forget to charge batteries now, them 9Ah batteries last for weeks...
I rarely use my air windy snap on gun nowadays, i feel no need unless i have really tight axle bolts... Battery power has moved a lot in recent years!

The quality is fine, impact driver I've had for a year and goes still like new and had plenty of hard use. Maybe you should do a review on your previous cheap drill. :-)

The drill I would say is equivalent to your run of the mill Makitas or Dewalts. I have this thing about battery tools and believe the main brands are way overpriced. No way on this earth would I pay a couple of hundred pounds on a battery drill, but if folk want to then that's fine. But insuating that this drill has the same issue of a cheap drill you apparently once had is absurd and the two aren't related. If you've not used the drill and have no experience of the brand and it's qulaity then what are you on about? The Erbauer performs well, it's spec'ed right in the middle with the Makitas and Dewalts.

for 69 quid it seems to be a bargain for the home DIYer type use.

Even if it does take a little longer to drill holes when compared to the pro stuff, who cares at home !!

When its done chuck it away and get a new one

and to think some of the pro batteries will cost significantly more than the whole set up

Gotta compare apples with apples

IVe watched this post and all I can see is you pick at it with expensive tools that can be bought

I Cant afford them so buy what I can the tools are good enough to get anyone started in a job untill you can get another type of drill or get a better income to buy them

THe tools are ample enough to do the job
Not everyone likes milwakee or snapon dewalt or hitachi, bosch tools dont think I havent got them as I have but I think milwakee is expensive and I dont like voiding my garantee just to regrease the impact gun so yeah milwakee and many others dont use a fair breakaway torq as nut is new and hot

Your really getting close to being a sales rep for milwakee whilst hijacking someones review of a tool people have a right to choose there tools not here bumf about another tool

I have 2 of them, one hammer version the other is not.

I have abused them for over a year now.
They are cheep yes, but they have survived, my de walt does the same job and also have survived.

The only down side to them is you need to "nip" up the chuck to hold the tool.
If they go "Mammary Glands Vertical" I go and get a new on the company account. So far has not officially happened.

Have you used one?

I have used some expensive tools and they felt cheep. I have a snap on oil filter wrench, it does the job. but looks and feels cheep.
I have a set of Imperial spanners, were cheep in 1982, only one has broken. I smashed it with a lump hammer when working on a land rover hub. The rest still work.

Cheep does not always mean bad.

At Men In Shed we have a few of the manufacture tools. They are abused, as a lot don't know how to use them. Apart from one tool the rest are still good after 2 years.

True, not a everyday use tool, but good enough to be useful.

I think you have a problem with me my friend! I might not share your oppinions but we are on a public forum and i pay my internet bandwidth so i beg to differ! I never understood english mentality of buying cheap Matsui or beko gear then bragg about it! If you cannot afford it then save till you can.!
