Anyone any experience of 1k epoxy primers such as spectral under 395, I have only used 2k epoxy before but this stuff may be ideal for some areas inside the car save setting up the spray gun, just I always thought epoxy had to be 2k with an activator,
Proper epoxy always requires an activator. The only no mix epoxies I've experience of required heat to make the reaction work. So I would say that aerosol stuff is rubbish.
It may be convenient. But if you have a PPS system then setting up and cleaning a spraygun is no bother. And cheaper.
If you are looking for an aerosol primer, I have found Bilt Hamber Electrox to be very good. It's not an epoxy, but has a high zinc content, doesn't seem to absorb water and where I have used it on my car resto it hasn't started rusting again. It's not cheap though and only available online so delivery adds a lot to the cost.
