Knowing very little about epoxy, has anyone used 1k epoxy before as opposed to the activated kind, is it any good ? its for use on the nosecone of a tractor, which is showing very little rust for 50 years old ,only a few dodgy filler repairs, its not a concours example but there are very few intenationals left in this condition , as said it has been messed with before and has 75% of the red colour polished off whereas the rest of the tractor has the majority of the original paint left, is 1k epoxy a poor substitue for the 2k stuff , i can get 5ltrs delivered to aberedeen for just over £35 ,whereas the 2k is roughly £85 dearerer, am i wasting my time n money using the 1k , also have the underside of of a finishing mower to coat up before rust sets in . thoughts please?
