English wheels

Just been looking, & wondered if there's liable to be much difference, (bar the throat depth), between the likes of a Katsu English wheel:

& the Stakesys wheel.

I'd go for Stakesys, it'll probably have better machined lower wheels, which is crucial to getting a consistent shape

Not having an interest in English wheels per se I am curious the bottom wheels are marked as 1"2"3" and 5" is that the radius the wheels will form? 1" radius sounds a bit ambitious. The device is going to need to be very secure before you start pulling it about trying to achieve that I would have thought.

That second go looks impressive. Ive had a go, not as easy as it looks.

I had over 40hrs in number1, but it just wasn't going to be right & to stop me effin about with it, it had do die

All come from china , difference is matt stakesy is honourable with any problems

I think my mini 10” mini wheel which i got inspiration from Edwards 10” spawned the 10” stakesy . I think 99.999999% of my website hits are from china

Cheers. Looking the photo's over, it appears the Stakesys may be built from slightly thicker plate, & the spacers between the plates seem larger diameter on the Stakesys. Little things, but every bit counts.

I'd rather spend the extra if it means better quality & service.
