Just checked. High density polyethylene apparently. Or HDPE. A cheap source of plastic if HDPE is suitable!I bought a new chopping board last week from boyes. 12mm thick about 600 X 400 only a fiver. A decent sized piece of plastic for not a lot of money. Would it be nylon?

I've been waiting for my local deli up the back of the supermarket to throw out their big plastic cutting boards, but I reckon they forget to keep them for me or can't be bothered. I'd quite happily bung them a few quid tea money.Just checked. High density polyethylene apparently. Or HDPE. A cheap source of plastic if HDPE is suitable!
Have a look for local plastics suppliers.
I go to davis plastics in crawley most of the time, they do have a website and flog on ebay.
The bloke on the counter goes and finds anything I ask for. If I buy flats it looks
like they have been cut from sheet.
I was surprised tro find an old chopping board, apparently HDPE, snaffled from the kitchen cupboard to create a battery spacer, was pretty crap strength wise - broke very easily.I bought a new chopping board last week from boyes. 12mm thick about 600 X 400 only a fiver.
