Engineered flooring is looking like the winner then. The dog is 7 months old, and is mellowing. The only mad time is when she gets 'Need a poo zoomies'. Hopefully that's stopping soon too

The Bona products look good @brewdexta - I'm keen for a matt finish though. Did you go for matt? Is it actually matt?

I think I went for satin, but the do have matt and extra matt I believe.

My decorator falls out of bed every morning because he prefers a mat finish.......

My nan has engineered wood throughout her house, it looks great but was fitted poorly, dodgy boards (Damaged, out of square, full of knots) laid bang in the middle of the room, anyone with a bit of care would have saved them for the edges.

This has been down for 6yrs, its engineered oak, not the main living room but daughters girl cave and we have 2 busy Collies

We had engineered oak with underfloor heating and a Great Dane from a puppy to fully grown adult. We moved after 4 years but it looked as good as new when we moved out. It was in the porch, downstairs loo and front room so plenty of footfall, wet feet and water splashes - no problems with staining. Would definitely go engineered again
