ouch had a few go splat on the road never on the dyno tho usally its just a horrible change of tone and loss of all power,
atm im running ms2extra on the golf with bike throttel bodies but be swaping to modifyed bmw m5 ones at some point, i know excatly what people mean by you need to map them on the road, i've found there is no replacement for both.
a set of rollers will let you hunt down the AFR's and ignition you motor want to make best possible torque at whatever revs , at various throttel openings then drive it around and take notes of where you need to adjust then do it again and again then it's just driveing aroun and often pulling ignition adavnce ,
in the end i found on some parts of the ignition map i was running negative advance to help drivablity ( help drag the rpm down on overun ) and low rpm part throttel it was more about holding the motor back and making it less powerfull, when rolling road optomised trying to drive around town or manover it was a nightmare, itd bog and want to stall or take off so ether wheelspinning or stalling never look good

No missed 3 gear rev counter telltale was looking at 13+, the Datsun rods stood it though all were still bolted to respective bits of crank even though 0ne twisted.
