Engine Delivery to Ireland anyone :)

I see there are few folk on here that get about a bit so thought I would offer the job to you, if anyone is interested before i look on Shiply etc tec.

Its a diesel engine complete that i will be strapping to a euro pallet and has to go to Derrymore East, Tralee, Co Kerry ,Ireland.

I used palletline to do the same thing to SW France...it came from Wigan.....to hour N of Bordox....

yes not bad price i reckon, much that from the online quote i have been getting. Well i think its good but the buyer may think different yet ha ha

I haven't got anything on a pallet into the Rep. of Ireland from the Uk since Brexit. I had a few small machine tools delivered that way prior. From what I've been told (one source, so not definitive) there needs to be a 'commercial invoice' included for the purposes of customs clearance. And my understanding is that Irish VAT will be charged at import. Afaik, there's a customs clearance charge of about 75 euro which the carriers are including in their quotes. Finally, my understanding is that the pallet should be treated timber (to prevent wood borne bugs) and marked as such - I don't know if this is being enforced.
