I would like to repaint some/all of my Adcock and Shipley 1ESG milling machine. I need a paint that can be applied by brush, and I would prefer something that can be used in an unheated garage in January. If that's not possible, I may have to do manageable parts indoors and leave the larger sections until the warmer weather returns. Heating the garage is not a viable option.
I've used Paragon Paints enamel paint before and found it good but pricey. I've used some clearance tractor enamel in the past and it was just as good but much cheaper. I'm wondering whether Smith and Allan Tractol paint might be a decent alternative. I can get RAL 7033 direct from both suppliers, and I'm not particularly fussy about the finish, but I do want it to be hard wearing. A more limited choice of colours is available at cheaper prices on eBay (e.g. light grey and MF grey).
Any advice or recommendations? I may contact Smith and Allan to ask them about minimum temperatures. I can't seem to find this on their website.
