IBEDA make them (and 80% of the flashbacks for the industry)
There are codes, upon codes depending on the type you want
I bought Victor ones and then gas arc I think. Both are compatible and identical.
Rapid used to supply them at ridiculous cost.
Who sourced them for me, erm, Truflame I believe.

There are a few types, inert gas, fuel gas, oxygen, so on.
None are interchangeable.
I've got a load of male ends with female 3/8 threads if that's any use?
Ibeda do sell direct if you want the male/male versions. You need to set up an account and they have a minimum €500 order but those things are about £15 each so you'll hit that easily enough

On topic sort of, I occasionally have to take my welder to a farmer friend to do the odd favour for him.
Its a faff disconnecting the gas bottle and would like to fit quick disconnects to the back of the welder
I have also acquired a large bottle of Argon/CO2 which I use when bench welding so would speed up swapping between that and the smaller bottle on the trolley
I was looking at Rectus but was unsure which one to get and what's the chance of the quick release coupling leaking

Rectus 21 is the standard, I think. I've got them on my welders and (inert) gas bottles and never had any problems.

I use Rectus 21 on my stuff.
It's a nice compact connector so less chance of smashing it into something.
Flow rate is fine for pretty much all welding needs.
And they are available with a decent range of connections on the back end so you have more chance of screwing one stright on without messing around with more adaptors
There are loads of makes of the same thing. I'd avoid the unbranded ones. I use the plain brass ones from Parker or cejen and have never had any problems. Grinding dust or grit will damage the seals but you can get dust covers for them when they are not in use.
It is an extra weak link in the system but I think you've got less chance of a leak using them as it's easier to remove hoses etc so less dragging stuff across the floor and no chance of crossing a thread.
The female versions are quite a bit more expensive than the males so have a think about how you are going to set everything up.
For example, if you have 4 welders and 3 gas bottles you'll save a few quid putting males on everything then have one length of hose with a female at both ends although personally I use the normal female-male on everything as the convenience is worth the extra cost in my opinion

Rectus 21 is also common on the pole window cleaning systems, so that can be a source for pieces.
