I remember reading in TopGear long, long ago what the Cubans were using for brake fluid in their Lada powered Yank tanks.

Bit late I know, but I've used ATF in trolley jacks and an engine crane for years... my TVR uses it in the PAS which has more leaks than a government department so I always have a plentiful supply on hand

Ok, not to worry any one you will use the Royal united hospital in Bath or any site who are covered by that hospital maintenance team.

I watched their maintenance team refilling a body hoist with brake fluid.

"It keeps leaking mate, so we keep topping it up."

That's bodging, not maintenance; see you next tuesdays from Mitie or one of the other chiselling, parasitic profiteers, no doubt they will deny any responsibility for the pump lunching itself or the seals rotting.

Oh, yes.
From telling a customer all there emergency lights have failed, they are showing a red LED. Should be green. The red means they have failed.
I pointed out the correct information. We got the work.
Or the gentlemen who painted an office/workshop in grey paint. It did not go off.
They had not mixed the hardener in. Thought it was a brush/roller cleaner.
