There's a hint of irony in a man that pushes lovely 0 carbon emission, save the environment cars, then burns probably 200,000 kg of liquid methane to get across the globe quicker.

The concept was invented by Robert A Heinlein I think.
The concept was certainly explored in "Friday" c. 1982?

He also conceived the idea of a pocket sized personal wireless telephonic device (about 1953? )

Has anyone paused to consider the physical limitations of the human body in all these flights of fancy ? [see what I did there? ]

Surely there has to be a point at which restraint no longer offers sufficient protection [e.g. a head-on type crash at high speed in a current 'hyper-car' would probably eliminate the need for post-mortems, since the extremities would not only be conveniently separated from the torso [albeit they would almost certainly have to search the surrounding scenery too ], but the internal organs would be spread around the passenger compartment.

I'm working on a worm hole generator to make inter dimensional travel a real possibility. I've given up on the time machine although I did have some positive results next month it's far too unpredictable.

But the "limitations" are why I suggested a rail gun accelerator/decelerator.
It's the only way (AFAIK) to have a sustained, consistent, controllable 1G acceleration.

Just to add I've given up on the wormhole generator, it's raining outside I've looked at the lawn and the worms are light years ahead of me. If only I could get hold of their technology. I thought I was getting somewhere with the time machine but it turned out the clock was wrong in the other room My research has come to an impasse.
