I’ve been considering getting a printer for some time and being black Friday I saw what looked like a good deal on an Elegoo Neptune 3 Pro at £110.
Ordered it on a spur of the moment without doing my usual month of research prior and without any idea of 3D printing or how to do it or what was really required.
Anyway order made and added a roll of filament. Looking forward to taking delivery I then saw it was being delivered by Yodel
A couple of days later the filament arrived (elegoo ship printers separately).
I knew I wouldn’t be in for the printer so diverted it to a locker.
3 days later, locker full we’ll be back, next day locker full we’ll be back, no tracking change for a couple of days. Contacted Yodel who said it was too big for a locker. OK can you ship it back to my address then, sorry computer says no, please contact Elegoo. Elegoo take 3 days to reply to an email saying they’ll try and sort it by which time yodel were sending it back to Elegoo.
Elegoo say to contact an insurance company called Seel and provided me with a link. Seel process a replacement for me and within a couple of days the printer arrives by parcelforce, no issues.
Bear in mind the whole process took over 20 emails and just shy of 3 weeks.
I’d paid by paypal and would have normally claimed via them within the first week with a lack of a response but didn’t want a refund as I’d have missed out on the deal.
Finally here I must say I’m well impressed with it, even more so for what I paid.

Easy to build and set up.
Printed this thing off today. Came out OK apart from some small areas of damage/mistake to one side, not sure why that happened. My lad had fun trying to make it float in the bath tonight.

I’ve got a few things I want to print that I can probably find versions of online on printables.
Then it’ll be trying to get my head around how to draw up a design myself and print it which will be what it will be most useful for.

Like tools, it draws you in.
