sorry if ive forgot to reply to some one
so what im proposing is some thing like an old gas bottle arranged like this
old battery drill with the battery removed and hard wired to a 12v car battery operated by a 12v relay that in turn is energized by a cheap 12v time clock the dia of the auger is 40mm and i guesstimated 15 to 20 seconds would dispense enough seed, if i have to run it for 60 seconds it might dispense to much but i have the option of a smaller auger or fitting a washer over the outlet with say a 25mm hole in it
its very much make it and see what happens, the last one had a 50mm hole in the base and use to free fall out but jammed regularly due to the peanuts getting bunched up so thought i would try an auger this time, it may trickle out past the auger but if its a minor leak thats fine im sure they will eat it soon enough, if its a major leak then i will rotate the auger 90 deg
will post a pic up when its finished and hopefully working

dosent fill me with confidence the time clock will actually work lol

They were 12v feeders.will have a look and see
Shame its not 240v as just would use an "on delay,off delay relay"
