Decided I'd make a mini drum synthesiser from an Electronics Digest magazine from 1985. Pretty simple, based around a single 555 chip.
Back then I bought 4 ready made, unpopulated PCBs and still have them.
I could buy an aluminium or ABS case or fold an ali one up myself but I thought no, let's 3D print one.
Gave laddo the rough requirements and left him to it.
Work in progress, his first render:
On the front will be 3 pots for Frequency, Delay Time & Output Level. Then a switch that when closed causes the pitch to fall sharply as the beat decays. There'll also be a power on LED.
On the rear, a 1/4" output socket to an amp or whatever, a 1/4" input socket for the "drum", in this case a small loudspeaker then an on/off switch.
2mm walls, maybe tapped brass inserts, maybe a battery holder built in.
Don't wait up.
