Apologies if this has been done to death and back to life again, but whats the maximum pi55-taking length of time an electrode will survive once it's packet it opened? They're kept in an unheated garage and whilst I have a cheapo (doubtless Chinese-made) heated rod quiver I understand this is to pre-warm them before use rather than dry them out 'cos they're 'a bit damp'!
If as I suspect it's 'chuck 'em after a week', what's them most economical way for an occasional-use hobbyist to buy/store/use electrodes, considering I'm crap at planning so tend to do things off the cuff and can't always wait to order rods and have them delivered.
