This morning pops up on my computer, 'flights to Uk from 9 euros'.
It should reflect the true environmental cost, and aviation fuel should be taxed at the same rate as vehicle fuel, rather than at zero. Then train prices for example, much less polluting, would be direct competition.
In the end though, if you want to save the planet, stay at home, at least as much as you can reasonably do.
