It’s not a problem to use a push or a pull fan but I don’t think you can turn one into the other just by running the motor the other way the blade set up would need to change to. I think it still moves air just not well.

I'm fitting one on my Disco and even the curved ones state they are reversible, doesn't matter in my application though

I think a fan may be a wide precaution, as I'm prepping for a trip to the Bardeneas desert. And a long trip back through France in the high summer.

I am fitting the control circuit to my S2 fan , the fan was from a scrap car , It was part of a pair in a small jap 4 x 4 can't remember the make , I am using a small digital controller with integral 20a relay with a manual over ride switch in case it fails, also going to carry the mechanical one under the seat as backup, the fan pulley will need a disc to reinforce it when the fan is removed, it is fitted in front of the rad being the grill , can post pic tomorrow if it would help, here's one of the circuit I am using, plenty of other methods can be used, I liked the idea of a temperature display for set up, I should add my landrover is a 4 x 2 and never off roaded so don't have to worry about fording etc
