You need to charge your phone....
Yep, agreed - I made sure I was aware of the 'sound' of the electrical load and I had all afternoon to demonstrate my prowess with a cordless chainsaw...
I wouldn't bother with an electric one. I also cannot bring myself to buy cheap unbranded petrol tools as I knew they won't last years of use.
Hence I have this coming now-
Expensive even when bought on auction used. But it is a professional line product and should give many years of service. Looking forward to trying it out as I have alot of tall hedges to trim the next few weekends around my house.
Thought I would give an update. I used the pole saw a few weeks ago.
Little bit disappointed really, maybe I should have got a reciprocating saw or mini handheld chainsaw.
Because it runs quite slow being cordless it can jump/bounce on the initial contact a bit and the cut is a bit rough, definitely not as clean as the cuts done by the tree man with his small petrol chainsaw.
Also it can be a faff to get the head into the right position because you have the pole to manoeuvre around other obstacles - close to fences or walls or other trees/bushes can be awkward.
On the plus side the saw itself seems good enough quality and I did the job on a single charge with no other issues.
I've got a couple of other trees to attend to or even cut down completely, maybe I will flog the pole saw and try something else for those, not sure yet.
