I got a bit sick of people spilling diesel and having to repair diesel fired steam cleaners at work
so I bought pressure washer pumps made for hot water inlet
they work great... but the max inlet temp is 75'C... I'd like to go a bit hotter if I can
anyone have any good ideas for how I can heat water at 2000psi electrically?
(it jumps to just over 3000 as you start/stop)
I don't really want to have to use anything in the middle, heating oil to heat the water with a traditional heat exchanger etc. I'm a bit worried about lag as you stop squirting water, so water flow stops, but the heat exchanger is still full of 200'C oil boiling the water as pressure drops etc.
I can't find any electric heaters made for that kind of pressure no matter where I look (or the price looks like a phone number)
I was thinking... I could make an induction heater to heat a pipe the water flows through, but it seams pretty messy, and I'm a bit worried about weakening the pipe?
