All my air comes via the crappy regulators on top of the compressors (3 of them) although I use the unregulated output, then goes to a board with another local regulator and distribution couplings.
At some point I will convert the local regulators to 1/2 inch and add a direct coupling to the end of the compressor tank.
Any suggestions on the fittings to use onto the end of the tank and hose that connects to it?
This is my current set up but unless I'm spraying I only use the local compressor in the garage.
In this instance I am using the lower regulator without the oil filter and a 10mm hose, not the 8mm one in the video.
Ive got a Clarke cut off tool, & found it pretty useless, very easy to stall, very air hungry, I've only a small compressor & it drains it in seconds. I've also got a Metabo rattle gun, which I run direct off the tank with no reg & 10mm air line. The change from 8mm to 10mm makes a lot of difference, I've just changed the fittings to high flow PCL, but haven't tried it in anger yet. I will also try the cut off tool with high flow & 10mm to see if it's more use ( it'll drain the tank even quicker) when you look at the spec, they are quoted at 4cfm, but this is at 25% duty, so 16cfm actual. Don't use it often, but sometimes it's the only thing you can get in.
