Einhell 24L 1.6hp Oil Free Air Compressor 230V -very loud - how to quieten?

It is loud and seems to take ages to fill. Are there any good ways to dampen the noise on this compressor? Thanks.

See my post in the thread we had about this the other week.

I've got a similar compressor sat under a OSB box with a couple of layers of insulation that takes out 90% of the noise.

Hi folks,any ideas about building some kind of soundproof for these compressors?was thinking of a basic structure that I could pull forward without a back panel on,but then suppose I would be defeating the object unless I sound deadened the brickwork maybe‍
