EE Power bar

My wife and I both got one, we both sent a text and received a code then as we were in town passing the shop we walked in and were handed the power bar on showing the text with the code, the only way it could have been simpler is if they had sent it through the post. If that's hassle you must have a very stressful life having to go out to the shop and fetch things all the time

Yeah well that is how you get them (generally)however simply walking into the store a being handed one was not so simple especially as the store is a franchise and they insist you answer all of there Q's so they can build an updated database for marketing..
My fix to this issue was to send in the boy of 14years whom is not old enough to take out any contract of any sort and with five contracts in our house hold he had to make five visits (on separate occasions for the picky )resulting in five power bars non of which can charge any of our phones over 50%.

I refuse to explain myself any further as your over assumptions are surpassed only by your arrogance and desperate urge to consider silence is a hole that needs to be filled,,.

I wasn't impressed with it for my HTC but it charged two iPhones by about 60% on one charge. It's in Japan for three weeks now so I can't find out exactly how much it can charge my phone by.

I meant more it exploding while your GF is in Japan...if she wasn't going to give you a korean style beating...you'd be near guaranteed one then....


Probably a failure in the charging circuit or the cellpack shorting out...Lithium ion batteries can make a fair bag if shorted..(think of the energy in them)

She's with scouts, I'd like to think they know about fire and it being hot, therefore not to touch it.

The girl was a medical student, she can practice on herself.

Just heard on Planet Rock that they are recalling a batch of EE Power Bars due to overheating.

I just got a text from EE telling me that a batch of them are being recalled, and as luck would have it, mine is one of those affected. Batch is E1-06, so I should give it back but they don't have replacements yet, so I think I'll hang onto it for a bit as its useful when I use the phone for satnav in the car. Lets just hope in doesn't explode...

Every single smartphone user in China has at least 1 usb power bank. I have 2 or 3 that I got from my sales agent out there (with their company branding on, 10000mAh ones. They'll do 2 ipad charges from flat to full. However, be warned, chinese air transit regulations prohibit any single usb power bank with more than 120w/hr capacity, or any size that doesn't have the mAh capacity marked on the side.

Plenty of them to be had form ebay, just watch out for the solar ones, they're crap.

According to the Beeb link affected customers get a £20 voucher, as a gesture of goodwill, to spend on accessories although I cannot see a mention of it on the EE site.
