You are correct mate. It came in around March apparently.

I only know as my son listed an Iphone but we have all bidders below 5 MUST contact us before bidding. as the easiest and most prolific scam is to create a new account...buy a large value item...when it gets sent they send back an empty box (the clever ones use a weight close to what they have purcahsed now). They then get a refund automatically as the tracking number being delivered triggers it!

They end up with the item and the cash back..you end up with no item and a lot of agro.

well ebay force you to have paypal and paypal keep the fees ..after Ebay has ignored our terms and conditions (They are not supposed to be working together either...lol

I am not sure you can now. They offer the £1 listing fees and catch a hell of a lot on relisted fees.

I think Evilbay are feeling the strain of competition, Faceache, Gumtroll, and quite a few others are offering free ads, and are doing quite well, even though Gumtroll is owned by Evilbay, it is a much better platform, Evilbay is all chinesium trash at the moment,

I do use Evilbay for the odd item, and (touch wood) everything has gone to order, very recently I sold an item to someone from Italy, and I offered free postage, not thinking anyone outside the Uk would buy it, but I was pleasantly surprised when all the postage I had to pay (£5,25)was to have it delivered to the central Hub up in Lichfield, and it was sent on from there to Italy at the buyers cost, through Evilbays delivery service.
Quite a few adverts on TV from Evilbay too, but that could be to tempt people sitting at home to go on their site and buy.

Paypal is another story...........

to be honest i feel that the fees are totally wrong example you could sell your car for say £5000.00 and pay i think last its a fixed price £35.00 you sell anything else such as gym equipment for X amount and its 10% ebay fee and 5% if pay via paypal how does that work out fair for me selling some gym equipment and getting charged overall 15% but a car dealer can sell a car for thousands and pay £35.00 i think its the same for cars bikes and caravans its totally wrong and also as a seller there is no help its the buyer is always right i once sold a gym bar and i took the picture on a piece of chequer plate on the table and the buyers actually got to return it free (i had to pay ebay back) delivery as the item was not as described because he though it came with the table but the problem now is that all we know now you want something were do you go ebay

I only use evilbay as a buyer these days..usually for low value bits and bobs. As a seller it isn't worth bothering for items less than £50...too much hassle.

I did buy a car roller recently...I was very skeptical but sure enough it turned up as promised.

I've mostly switched to Amazon for buying...reason is Amazon will stamp on a seller's head for the slightest of Mickey taking...so generally most of the idiots have been removed already.

My stuff regularly gets mid delivered to a different address because there is a similar street...one is gardens and the other is avenue.

They keep the stuff and claim they never had it...fortunately now when you sign most record the GPS location. They got caught out with a mobile phone...doesn't seem to happen any more .
