I've been thinking about that kind of thing on my restoration, some GRP parts that are painted black would look good in chrome and that looks like it might do the job.

I couldn't see a UK one, but found one in Spain who ships at £66+ [same people? ]. That price doesn't look bad when you look at Alsa's website - they charge $199 for 250ml......

Impressive product though - wonder what shelf life is like once the tin is opened?

hmmm thats is a bit spendy but if its as good as it looks ,depends I geuss what your using it for re cost effective

I saw this a while ago and it just reminds me of all the "amazing" products i've seen at shows and the saying if it seems too good to be true! If it's that good why isn't the same base being used for all gloss paints so they apply easily and without brush marks.

Dont buy cheap gloss. Can't say I've had issues with brush marks in gloss personally.

Have a look at the tech data in the above link. Not some miracle paint. requires careful prep to get the results.

Got some odds and sods on the lathe that are tatty so worth a test to see how it performs.

The biggest problem with these chrome paints, and they are good when you apply them, i when you apply lacquer they go siver grey!
There are supposed be special one part lacquers which reduce this effect I haven't tried them yet. Hopefully someone will crack this issue and I'll be able to do my Jag chrome wheels instead of paying £350 pre wheel to rechrome!

Be doing a bit more homework on its longevity and application but I do fancy having a test next year.

My car resto has some small trim bits that are plastic painted silver, and when I was looking for chrome paint ages ago the one that was recommended on model making forums was Alclad. I haven't tried it myself and I would think it would only be suitable for brushing small parts or use with an air brush:

I've read durability is an issue with these as well. Chrome wrap and tape is another option.

If you want a silver (not chrome) finish then that's achievable with any bright silver paint and lacquer (plastic primer first then primer filler and sand smooth).
