Once again I'm welding my car and I need to make a curve section
I've done this before and its been a faff . There's got to be a better way!
I've either
Cut slots in the 'returns' to allow the steel to bend at the slot, and then welded them up afterwards
or
Seam welded along the join between the vertical and horizontal
I'm sure others here must've come across this issue and I reckon that more than likely someone here can point me in the direction of a better method
Steel is 0.9mm Galv
Forgive the laughably awful sketch on the photo, hopefully it conveys the meaning!
Photos
1: lots of rot, as it should look (but without the rot of course)
2: as it looks now
3: a different curve, and how I approached it, I'll have its 'pair' to do also
NB: there's an obvious area in photo 2 where the steel is obviously in very poor condition, that remains to mak template making easier (hopefully)
