Earthing rod for electric fencing?

I'm selling some 12v electric fence energisers (for animal fencing)...the earth rods in the ground are fubarred and it's hard to get them out anyway. What can I recommend buyers use? I looked at what TLC electrical have and it's probably ok - a bit overkill at 4ft long though .....and the electric fence retailers sell smaller ones (at 3x the TLC price) .....the energiser has tiny current output (but big volts 2/3k ouch) so any cheap solutions possible. There's a stainless crocodile clip for attaching to the earth ....

Ours are mainly coated steel rods or flat bar, Screwfix do earth rods maybe cheaper than TLC?

Toolstation were half the price of screwfix last time I bought one.
Cut a 4' in half to make 2.
Bend one end over at 90⁰ for a handle and job done.

The cheap rods are just copper coated steel but last a decent while so I'd be happy to sell one. If i was making it for myself I'd use stainless and weld on a flat plate for the Croc clip or a stud and fix the wire with a ring terminal.

Mine is a bit of galvanised 1” angle iron, with a bolt onto the lead! A point cut on the end

Galvanised all thread, grind a point on one end and fit a nylock nut on the other to give the clip something to grip.

I've used the copper coated earth rod things you can buy at builders merch type places for that very same purpose, they often come with a clamp for the wire too

Glav scaffold tube is a favourite of the farmers round here!

Electric fencers run about 6000 volts so a damp stick would work..

If the op is selling the units though something ladies can push in/out without tools will help..

They are battery ones, so portable, so anything needs to be reusable too. I wouldn't worry too much about providing anything. Most farmers will have an old buck rake tine or bit of thick walled galve pipe that can be used/reused.
