It almost looks as if the meter fitter has sleaved them with something to identify new colours, not seen it before strange.

it does yes, the actual main inoming fuse is in a comunal cupboard under the stairs in the block of 1 flats. from there the wires must be in the wall

your responsible
for cables after the meter. is your db within 3 meters length from the meter

yep the DB is directly behind that wall so less than 1m.

I have some off cuts from a 3m set of tails they will be long enough if I have too.

well it passed the tails were not even mentioned, he did a few tweaks like cut some wires down because copper was showing in the MCB I presume and he cut the 2 spare ways off the buzz bar.
