E10 that was a suprise result!

One of our daily runners is a 2003 Astra 1.6 8V which weve owned for about 7 years and its always stuggled to get through the emissions come MOT time, we could never really find out what the problem was but got it through one way or another! it was always tested at the same place and this week blow me down it flew through the test! whats that all about?

Ethanol burns cleaner than Petrol.
That's an old trick, we used to go put a couple litres of E85 in the race cars to get them through an MOT with just a tiny race cat wedged in.

Switched to battery years ago, everything is Makita 18 and 36v, no petrol, no exhaust fumes and its a much more civilized process

Running vegetable oil in an old diesel has the same results

I switched from petrol to diesel last year but then my lawn is 4.5 acres and a 1 in 1 slope as part of it.

Mine does, the bugger runs rich on straight petrol, E10 fixes it
