E bay hasslest

Customer of mine bought a couple of 1950's Mercs in Poland and brought them over here - sounds like the Poles are dragging themselves into the 21st century.

I noticed on ebay a lot of old wartime triumph stuff coming up for sale from poland. Mainly war department stuff, i didn't think the british army ever made it as far as poland during ww2.

I think Steve Mcqueen had a go not sure could have been Switzerland but that would only make it one. I think there must be lots unaccounted for just waiting for us what say you. I once bought a 650 triumph for 2 quid,(happy days)

That was in the mid 60s the motor went into a triton and (alas and alack) the rest was given away, Hindsight eh.

(the whole lot was lying in pig sty so there was a bit of crap( so to speak) to clean off it.

or right a £5 for the triton, ha. unbelievably I was offered a manx norton which had raced at the TT, young and foolish my reply was why would I want that old banger..........words cannot express eh. arther

A mate of mine back in the day was running a Vincent and all his mates had Triumphs, they all took the **** saying it was an old mans bike so he buckled and sold it. His biggest regret he says now.

We probably shipped a load of WD bikes to Russia along with the Hurricanes and tanks we sent.

One of my great aunts told her son he wasn't allowed a motorbike, he ignored her and bought a bike, she told him to sell it or else, he ignored her... He came home one day to find it missing, she'd buried in the back garden and said if you ever dig it up you can find somewhere else to live. The bike was still buried there many years later when she died.
