Again never had an issue with hmrc voice systems work well and never been on hold for 5 minutes.
If you call up the day before tax return deadline then yeah probably a long wait.

DVLA have invested a lot in a transformation project, it's made a massive difference. HMRC are in progress on one, but it looks like it will be paused due to all the new things they will have to do as part of Brexit. DWP get's nothing as it's not something anyone want's to be seen to be supporting, just cutting and destroying it.
