Guys, having teething problems with dust in the booth. Someone mentioned sticky stuff that you can spray on the walls?? Anyone?

It was bought second hand about 10 years ago Parm and until recently, was dry stored in an agricultural environment. I helped erect it, sealed each panel and re painted everything.

Is it push pull? Or only pull?

Was the ducting, fan old? Had it been cleaned before installation?

    does it have balancing grilles?

what about door seals? These often perish. Sometimes not possible to see damage

best way to check is with smoke tubes. Run booth and pass smoke over all joints, panels, windows seals etc. If it’s compromised anywhere the smoke will be drawn in

It's a lutro downdraft initial push then when up to speed pull. Everything was cleaned though not laboratory clean. I'm running -6 on the manometer and all the filters and seals have been renewed and tested. The smoke clearance is about 3 minutes. I'm not expecting to have zero dust but first jobs I got some significant nibs.

Thanks. Been working on it a while. Proper steel arches. Probably one of the most rust free 2 doors in the country right now

with what they're worth these days I'll bet there's a few vacuum stored rust free ones about lol, had a bubble arched 1300E with a 1600 and plenty of mods back in the 90's when they were worth not much. do miss that car.

This one started life as a 13E in purple met with vinyl roof. It's having a pinto on 45s and type 9 box.

It was put on hold last year when my wife had her terminal cancer diagnosis but she continues to fight and it gives me spare time to do this project setting up and training the next generation. The escort paint was always part of the deal. It's not mine, it belongs to the guy who was my nav when I was rallying. We started the complete bare metal rebuild in 2008 just on spare Saturdays. All the bodywork is now done so it's going to become VW Viper green mica (not my choice) with a few TBA satin black accents including the minilites.

Thankyou. Almost a year to the day she was given two weeks to live. Never give up!
