I have a very similar-looking one bought in Lidl. It's very powerful and I'd expect it'd cope no problem using for the purpose you mention.

Didn't pay anything like that price for it though.........might be worth hanging off to see if they come round soon, unless your need is urgent?

Would the volume/capacity be okay if using as a dust extractor when removing paint and filler with a paint stripping disc on a grinder? It makes loads of dust. What's best one with a bag or baggless?

i have used and abused the Henrys with and without bags with bags makes life easier because u just change them without u have to pee around banging the filter out

The vacuum's with the power tool sockets like that 40ltr one from Screwfix seem to be a lot more expensive. Dust buildup on the filters is the main problem when I use my Earlex vacuum as an extractor and stopping the microscopic dust passing straight through. On the shot blast cabinets I have an upright Hoover bag on the outlet from the vacuum but some still gets through so I bought a couple of cheap cyclone filters off Ebay to try and reduce the amount getting into the vacuum as someone else did on here. Not tried them yet.

If you go down the Henry/Numatic route, Costco is probably the cheapest place to get bags, I'm sure a box of 80 is £20-25.

I have a friend who uses a Henry on his sanding blocks, no issues. You can run them all day long and all the bits are available even down to individual parts of the hoses.

Just had a look on their website and they are £39.99 for 80 delivered so they are probably more like £30-35 in store now

are they the proper fabric bags? the paper ones are really cheap but split when you take them out and they are full of metal swarf

Yes they are Hepa-Flow fabric ones, never had one spilt even sucking up rubble

Just re jigged mates workshop that is small we put the vac in the roof with no bag & vented to outside used this cyclone & plastic drum in corner of shop to collect dust\ rubbish the cyclone suction pipe is a socket in ceiling,a long inlet hose to cyclone, The felt filter in vac seems to be clean so cyclone appears to be working well

Thanks guys, looks like the way to go is a cyclone and a old vacuum cleaner. Will see if I can find an old vacuum cleaner cheap locally.
