That’s ridiculous, no it hasn’tThe weight has caused the threads to pull out of the regulator.
Get a argon reg you'll get rid of most you're fittings there instead of using a co2 reg with all those adaptersits an old picture. but it shows the current setup, I'm purging a lot now, hence the icing.
I noticed i had use 50 bar in just one day...without a lot of purging. after a quick leak test, i found the first adapter, that screws into the main regulator housing, with the threads damaged. and it was leaking past.
Your just wasting money mate.
Your just wasting money mate.
I stand by my first post. Go and buy your self a twin stage optimater 2. After a few bottles of gas you are making your money back in gas savings because of zero start up surges.
If your using it every day then you will benefit from a quality 2 stage system. I can understand hobbiests been reluctant to spend big on a reg but a business is just burning money with single stage cheapys. I can’t believe your using that contraption tbh. Is it even an Argon mix reg?
Yeah I know. I use one because my reg is side entry and I use boc bottles. You could always fit an adaptor to change the orientation of the regular body by 90 degrees.

Agree totally, with good quality gas control equipment not only will you save gas by eliminating pre weld surge etc but you get a much more constant gas flow and no regulator creep as the cylinder empties, but it's a fact of life we all have a tendency to buy the cheapest at times without looking at the bigger pictureYour just wasting money mate.

Single stage will be fine, just remember to keep checking and re setting the flow rate because as the cylinder empties the outlet pressure/flow increases
