Something that’s been on my mind since I got the DSG, the tool post when rotated indexes to 16 positions 22.5° apart. Which is excellent when doing production work with 3 or 4 tools in the post, because it stopes exactly ware you want it to and doesn’t move no matter how big a cut you take.
But when to come to doing something like screw cutting, with the top slide offset, you can’t always set the tool square to the workpiece. I would have thought there is a workaround for this, probably so obvious I can’t see it. Anyone got any experience or ideas?
