It's called a powered drill feed attachment. It accepts an mt4 drill bit.Is that a second tailstock type thing on the cross slide? I've never seen that before, very cool.

Drilling with cross slide power feed would produce some eye-watering results.

Notice the lug projecting from the bottom of it. That touches a stop on the saddle, so the axis of the drill bit is aligned with the lathe axis.

Not just power feed, but rapid retract and linked to the DRO if you've got one, so much better than a normal tailstock. I've been using a bigger lathe at work recently (XYZ clone of a Colchester Mascot I think
) and walking to the end of the bed to drag the tailstock up to the work is a chore. The DRO doesn't have a tool library or I'd use a morse taper holder on the toolpost.
