DRO suppliers in the UK

I want to fit a magnetic scale DRO kit to my Lathe and Mill, I've been in contact with Machine DRO, but I'm still waiting for an answer on the recommended kit and cost.

A couple of years ago I went to the model engineering show at Doncaster, and if I remember correctly there was a firm from Chester/Liverpool/Manchester way that sold a very neat small magnetic scale based DRO Kit, I even had a sample of the alloy scale section (to test) and a business card for future use, but I can i find it.........

I've spend a fair amount of time on google today with no luck....

Does anybody have an idea of the companies name, I believe they seem to mainly target model engineers mostly (with Myford size lathes), anybody ever dealt with them and may have their contact details?

They look like generic imported from the far east DROs. Machine DRO used to be very helpful, but its a small buisness.

For the lathe I bought a YH 800 display (rebadged Aikron and the boards internally are all made by Aikron). Magnetic / glass scales (glass came from M Dro sale and the magnetic ones from Ali Express) TTL signal

There is a firm in Milnrow (near Rochdale) who used to do the shows and I know they did Doncaster because I spoke to the guy, I will try to find them.

Machine -DRO I bought all my DRO kit from them Some of their own displays and some Easson which I am very happy with (mostly all magnetic) but my pal, on my recommendation, approached them for two systems and i know the final specification was all agreed and they never sent him a pro-forma, he is still waiting.

Okay after a quick look about it is exactly the company @Seadog indicated AMTS(NW) Ltd and they are in a little side street under the railway bridge as you go into Littleborough: Canal St, Littleborough OL15 0HA Very good quality very professional kit, they are who I would use if I was in the market.

M-Dro, Herts - UK designed Chinese made magnetic scale. This is what i use.

I really like the mitutoyo optical scales if you've got room for them they're indestructible.

AMTS do the popular chinese brand Aikron which seem to be more common in American and Europe.

In addition, despite having bought my setup at Ally Pally five years previously from EMSi, AMTS bent over backwards to help me, a hobby user, when I had a flickering display.
I can't recommend them highly enough.

Yes, that's the guy, really helpful. As they are not too far from me I really wish I had bought my kit from him but it's good that we can give a recommendation based on first hand knowledge.
