DRO display upgrade.

Bit of a long shot, I have an old 2 axes Sony Magnescale on my milling machine and would like to add another Z axis scale. Is it possible to use these existing scales on the X and Y and interface them to one of the generic Chinese DRO displays available these days.

I'll stick my neck out and say no. Most modern DRO scales have a simple connector on the end of the cable where it plugs in to the readout unit. A quick google brings up a manual for your readout, those boxes that plug in to the back of the unit are amplifiers so you cant chop them off and rewire the leads to a 9 pin DIN connector.
New scales are cheap enough from places like Aliexpress which means a lot of effort here for little gain.
