I did bid on and win a 2003 S600 Merc V12TT from England sight unseen for VERY cheap a few years back when under the influence

Turned out to be the best car purchase I ever made. Needed nothing for MOT once it got flatbedded to Ireland I was shocked how good it was. For the price I paid the combined 24piston brakes on it alone would have got a large % of my money back.



With some fettling, 24x spark plugs etc the car is amazing and with near 600hp it goes too.



Of course for this once in a lifetime car deal there were many total disasters from ebay. Including a seized solid S500 which the car dealer seller screwed me on but that's another story which I came out on top through hard work on my part.

Not dirt cheap any more, 200 baht for a small bottle of Chang in most bars I visited!

I remember Singha and Kloster beer was 50baht back in the early nineties in most Thai bars.

1996 I moved to the Philippines, where you could buy San Miguel for 10 or 12 peso, about 20pence at the time, in the open street bars. Bar fine was 250peso for the night, about a fiver for a night with a sweet young thing.

Got to 1 min 20 in and this is a year later the same guy same welder with an update. He says it's very good basically even though he runs it max setting all the time for his uses it hasn't broke or cut out which is promising.

I’m a mile from town, maybe ten pubs/ hotels, two clubs, two bowling clubs with bars, two distilleries. Could be spoilt for choice!

Drink and clubbing should be banned, stumbled out of way too many nightclubs in the past with what I believed to be eye candy on my arm and been proven very wrong once under the street lights
