+1 for sleeving the hole. If you have 'PenYGroes' bricks in your wall beware I don't know why but they stop my AEG SDS drill which has dealt with concrete Limestone and Granite without issue we ended up with a hammer and chisel in my mates house due to those bricks.

All done, 15mm x 600mm SDS drill made a tidy job, and Polly did the plumbing stuff.
