Drilling square & level through brick walls

One method that does work for drilling level, Put a washer on the drill bit (slack) fit. Then drill keeping the washer central on the drill bit while drilling, As for 90* side ways that's down to you and the "Trained eye"

why does it need to be 100 percent accurate generaly get within an inch of level freehand if im putting anything 25 mm through just drill a 10mm through 1st and go through the mortar joint rather than the brick . if its brick either side it will go through the joint real fast and line up

Its the engineer in me, father was a joiner & grandfather a cabinet maker. Never satisfied, even when young helping my father building houses at the tolerances involved. May be its my grandfather coming out in me. Hope you’re fairing well.

when we had ntl come and fit the phone telly and computer cable I drilled all the holes through the walls for them the guy came in and said who drilled the holes. wifey said hubby guy said id have drilled them from the inside out and it wouldn't have knocked any plaster off the wall . wifey said yes and you would have blown the brick face off after we have just re pointed and sandblasted the house and you would be well in for it a bit of plasters neither here or there
