if your making concrete post and using wire pre tensioned , the best wire to use is barbed wire.
just out of curiosity , ive seen bison slabs being made that way , with the ropes tension-ed etc ..
But how were they tension ing the bar in a post with only one open end ,,
nah that will take ages and more material. quicker to cut and drill i reakonget some steel box , or fold some 3mm , and make a wrap around to cover the post(weld to make box) , weld a stop half way down, slot onto concrete and drop wood post in , might need a fettle but it would be the easier solution
it’s tensioned round a peg. Once removed it leaves a handy hole near to the top
The place I know does some fancy stuff. They manufacture stone tooNever actually imagined they put as much effort into a fence post , we used to have a mould for heavy gate posts at home but we just bunged some angle in when we poured them ,,, ah , now I have to mention the square fany blocks that you bought the mould for and made one at a time till you had enough to build a decorative garden wall , sort of like a square with a monster munch shape in the middle ,,, oh the bad old days ,,
