drilling box sect

need to use hole saw to fit rd tube into box sect but need to drill through corner to corner so box ends up diamond shape.

whats best way to stop it slipping?

Have you pillar drill with a vice

Grind a flat on the corner, then drill a pilot hole, then the hole saw arbour and the hole saw itself. As above, using a pillar drill makes the job much easier.

if you can borrow a mag drill make a temporary drill platform tack welded at the correct angle, see attached pictures.


The hole is 4" diameter with a 4" centre offset to the centre line of the cylinder.

All will be revealed soon-ish, just another project on my part, taking shape slowly.
